Purpose/Function
• The Smart Brake Support (SBS)/Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) indicator light (red) and Smart Brake Support (SBS)/Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) warning light (amber), built into the instrument cluster, inform the driver of the following vehicle conditions:

• Smart Brake Support (SBS) is operating (brake control (SBS brake) is operating).
• Advanced Smart City Brake Support (Advanced SCBS)/Smart City Brake Support [Forward] (SCBS F)/Smart City Brake Support [Reverse] (SCBS R) is operating (brake control (SCBS brake) is operating).
― Smart Brake Support (SBS)/Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) warning light (amber)

• Smart Brake Support (SBS) system malfunction.
• Advanced Smart City Brake Support (Advanced SCBS)/Smart City Brake Support [Forward] (SCBS F)/Smart City Brake Support [Reverse] (SCBS R) system malfunction.
Construction
• The Smart Brake Support (SBS)/Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) indicator light (red)/Smart Brake Support (SBS)/Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) warning light (amber) is equipped in the instrument cluster.
Operation
• When the Smart Brake Support (SBS)/Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) is non-operational, operational, and malfunctioning, the Smart Brake Support (SBS)/Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) indicator light (red)/Smart Brake Support (SBS)/Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) warning light (amber) operates according to the following table.

• For vehicle with active driving display, when the Advanced Smart City Brake Support (Advanced SCBS)/Smart City Brake Support [Forward] (SCBS F)/Smart City Brake Support [Reverse] (SCBS R) system operates, the user is notified by the flashing the Smart Brake Support (SBS)/Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) indicator light (red) and the active driving display.

1. The instrument cluster receives (1) the system conditions display request signal from the radar unit and/or the laser sensor via the CAN signal.
2. The instrument cluster turns the transistor on (2) based on the system conditions display request signal.
3. When the transistor turns on, a ground circuit with the Smart Brake Support (SBS)/Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) indicator light (red)/Smart Brake Support (SBS)/Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) warning light (amber) is established, and the Smart Brake Support (SBS)/Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) indicator light (red)/Smart Brake Support (SBS)/Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) warning light (amber) turns on (3).
Fail-safe
• Function not equipped.
