Purpose/Function

•  The Smart Brake Support/Smart City Brake Support (SBS/SCBS) OFF indicator light, built into the instrument cluster, informs the driver of the following vehicle conditions:
―  Smart Brake Support (SBS) system has been disabled at driver discretion or system malfunction.
―  Advanced Smart City Brake Support (Advanced SCBS)/Smart City Brake Support [Forward] (SCBS F)/Smart City Brake Support [Reverse] (SCBS R) system has been disabled at driver discretion or system malfunction.

Construction

•  The Smart Brake Support/Smart City Brake Support (SBS/SCBS) OFF indicator light is equipped in the instrument cluster.

Operation

•  The Smart Brake Support/Smart City Brake Support (SBS/SCBS) OFF indicator light illuminates under the following conditions:
―  When turn off the Smart Brake Support (SBS) by setting function of the multi-information display.
―  When turn off the Advanced Smart City Brake Support (Advanced SCBS)/Smart City Brake Support [Forward] (SCBS F)/Smart City Brake Support [Reverse] (SCBS R) by setting function of the multi-information display or Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) OFF switch.
―  Smart Brake Support (SBS) system malfunction.
―  Advanced Smart City Brake Support (Advanced SCBS)/Smart City Brake Support [Forward] (SCBS F)/Smart City Brake Support [Reverse] (SCBS R) system malfunction.
―  Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) malfunction.

1.  The instrument cluster receives (1) the system conditions display request signal from the radar unit and/or the laser sensor via the CAN signal.

2.  The instrument cluster turns the transistor on (2) based on the system conditions display request signal.

3.  When the transistor turns on, a ground circuit with the Smart Brake Support/Smart City Brake Support (SBS/SCBS) OFF indicator light is established, and the Smart Brake Support/Smart City Brake Support (SBS/SCBS) OFF indicator light turns on (3).


Fail-Safe

•  Function not equipped.
