CAMSHAFT INSPECTION [MZR-CD 2.2]

1. Set the No.1 and No.5 journals on V-blocks.
2. Measure the camshaft runout.

• If it is not within the specification, replace the camshaft.

Camshaft maximum runout

0.03 mm {0.001 in}
3. Measure the cam lobe height at the two points as shown in the figure.

• If it is less than the minimum specification, replace the camshaft.

Camshaft standard height

IN :41.234 mm {1.6234 in}
EX : 41.021 mm {1.6150 in}

Camshaft minimum height
-
IN : 41.034 mm {1.6155 in}
EX : 40.821 mm {1.6071 in}
4. Measure the journal diameters in X and Y directions at the two points (A and B) as shown in the figure.

• If it is less than the minimum specification, replace the camshaft.
