FUEL PUMP RESISTOR INSPECTION [MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo]

Resistance Inspection

1.  Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo].)

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo].)

3.  Remove the fuel pump resister. (See FUEL PUMP RESISTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo].)

4.  Verify that the continuity between the fuel pump resister terminal A and B is within the specification.

Fuel pump resistor continuity
0.304—0.336 ohms [20 °C {68 °F}]
•  If not within the specification, replace the fuel pump resistor. (See FUEL PUMP RESISTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.3 DISI Turbo].)
