CURRENT SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.5, MZR 1.6]

1.  Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.5, MZR 1.6].)

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.5, MZR 1.6].)

3.  Remove the battery box. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.5, MZR 1.6].)

4.  Remove in the order indicated in the table.

1	Nut
2	Wiring harness terminal
3	Negative battery cable
4	Current sensor connector
5	Current sensor (See Current Sensor Installation Note.)

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Current Sensor Installation Note

Caution

•  Install the current sensor in the correct direction. If the current sensor is installed in the wrong direction, the current value may not be measured correctly and it could affect the engine controls.

1.  Route the wiring harness as shown in the figure.

2.  Wrap the position shown in the figure with insulating tape.
