CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR INSPECTION [MZ-CD 1.6]

Visual inspection

1.  Remove the CKP sensor. (See CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].)

2.  Verify that there are no metal shavings on the sensor.

3.  Visually inspect the CKP sensor for the following:

•  Damage

•  Cracks

•  Rusted sensor terminal

•  Bent sensor terminal

―  If there is any malfunction, replace the CKP sensor.

4.  Install the CKP sensor. (See CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].)
