Purpose

•  Flashes when a malfunction occurs in the headlight auto leveling system to notify the user that the headlight auto leveling system has a malfunction.

Function

•  When a malfunction occurs in the headlight auto leveling system, the auto leveling control module performs DTC inspection and outputs DTCs to the instrument cluster.

Construction/Operation

•  When the microcomputer in the instrument cluster receives a headlight auto leveling malfunction indicator light flashing request, it controls the flashing of the headlight auto leveling malfunction indicator light based on the received flashing request.
•  The operations until the headlight auto leveling malfunction indicator light flashes are as follows:

Note
•  When the ignition is switched ON, the auto leveling control module illuminates the headlight auto leveling malfunction indicator light for 3 s to check the light bulb and indicate that the headlight auto leveling malfunction indicator light bulb is normal.

1.  When a malfunction occurs in the headlight auto leveling system, the auto leveling control module sends a headlight auto leveling malfunction indicator light flashing request to the instrument cluster.

2.  When the instrument cluster receives the headlight auto leveling malfunction indicator light flashing request, it flashes the headlight auto leveling malfunction indicator light based on the flashing request.


Operations when DTCs are output

1.  When the auto leveling control module performs DTC inspection, it outputs DTCs to the instrument cluster.

2.  The instrument cluster operates the headlight auto leveling malfunction indicator light to flash based on the input signal.
