MAZDA RADAR CRUISE CONTROL (MRCC) SYSTEM WARNING ALARM [MAZDA RADAR CRUISE CONTROL (MRCC) SYSTEM]

id0120g0001000

Purpose

•  The MRCC warning alarm alerts the user of the following conditions.
―  The distance between vehicles is close
―  The MRCC system was canceled automatically due to low vehicle speed
―  Malfunction has occurred in MRCC system

Function

•  The vehicle control module (V/C-module) sends a warning sound request signal to the instrument cluster in the following cases.
―  Collision with vehicle ahead is determined even though automatic braking control is performed
―  Vehicle speed decreases below set vehicle speed and MRCC system is canceled automatically
―  Malfunction is detected in MRCC system
•  If the instrument cluster receives a warning sound request signal from the vehicle control module (V/C-module), is sounds the MRCC warning alarm using the buzzer in the instrument cluster.
•  The MRCC warning alarm sound pattern is as indicated in the figure.

Construction

•  The MRCC warning alarm sounds using the buzzer built into the instrument cluster.

Operation

1.  The vehicle control module (V/C-module) sends a warning sound request signal via CAN communication to the instrument cluster.

2.  The instrument cluster turns the transistor ON (2) when it receives the warning sound request signal from the vehicle control module (V/C-module).

3.  When the transistor turns on, a ground circuit with the alarm is established and the alarm sounds (3).
