•  For the purpose of protecting the engine, a higher set oil pressure for the oil pressure switch warning light than the previous has been established so that a deficient oil pressure condition can be accurately detected.

•  If the oil pressure is deficient, or there is a switch malfunction or open circuit, a DTC is stored. The oil pressure warning light is illuminated for any of these conditions.
