Removal Procedure

Caution

•  Remove the curtain air bag module to prevent damage before servicing.

4SD (without sunroof)

1.  Drill the 60 locations indicated by (A) shown in the figure.

2.  Remove the roof panel.

3.  Drill the spot welded 14 locations indicated by (B) shown in the figure from the topside of the roof panel and remove the roof reinforcement No.1, roof reinforcement No.2, and roof reinforcement No.3.

Note

•  Be careful not to damage the roof reinforcement during installation as it will be reused.

4SD (with sunroof)

1.  Drill the 60 locations indicated by (A) shown in the figure.

2.  Remove the roof panel.

3.  Drill the spot welded 4 locations indicated by (B) shown in the figure from the topside of the roof panel and roof reinforcement No.3.

Note

•  Be careful not to damage the roof reinforcement during installation as it will be reused.

1.  Drill the 94 locations indicated by (A) shown in the figure.

2.  Remove the roof panel.

3.  Drill the spot welded 18 locations indicated by (B) shown in the figure from the topside of the roof panel and remove the roof reinforcement No.1, roof reinforcement No.2, roof reinforcement No.3 and roof reinforcement No.4
