• The P/S angle sensor ring (magnetic ring), installed on the pinion shaft inside the steering gear valve housing rotates according to the rotation of the steering wheel.
• The rotation of the magnetic ring creates a magnetic field that acts on the hall sensor, forming Hall voltage. The Hall voltage is output as an electric signal, the magnetic field change (steering wheel turning angle and direction) is detected, and a signal is transmitted to the EHPAS control module.
• Reliability has been improved due to the use of a P/S angle sensor with two built-in Hall sensors that output two time-lagged electrical signals.
