PISTON PIN CLEARANCE INSPECTION [MZR-CD 2.2]
id0110f2502400
1. Measure each piston pin hole diameter in X and Y directions at the four points (A, B, C, and D) as shown in the figure.
-
• If it is not within the specification, replace the piston, piston pin and snap ring as a single unit.
-
Piston pin hole standard diameter
-
30.005—30.013 mm {1.1813—1.1816 in}
2. Measure each piston pin outer diameter in X and Y directions at the four points (A, B, C, and D) as shown in the figure.
-
• If it is not within the specification, replace the piston, piston pin and snap ring as a single unit.
-
Piston pin outer standard diameter
-
29.994—30.000 mm {1.1809—1.1811 in}
3. Calculate the clearance between piston pin hole and piston pin outer diameter.
-
• If it is not within the specification, replace the piston, piston pin and snap ring as a single unit.
-
Standard clearance between piston pin hole diameter and piston pin outer diameter
-
0.005—0.019 mm {0.0002—0.0007 in}
4. Measure each connecting rod small end inner diameter in X and Y directions as shown in the figure.
-
• If it is not within the specification, replace the connecting rod.
-
Connecting rod small end inner standard diameter
-
30.014—30.030 mm {1.1817—1.1822 in}
5. Calculate the clearance between connecting rod small end inner diameter and piston pin outer diameter.
-
• If it is not within the specification, replace the connecting rod.
-
Standard clearance between connecting rod small end inner diameter and piston pin outer diameter
-
0.014—0.036 mm {0.0006—0.0014 in}
