Note
•  There are four types of cooling fan components, A, B, C, and D. Types A, B, C, and D can be identified from the number of blades and cooling fan motor connector terminals on the cooling fans No. 1 and No. 2.
Refer to the following table to identify the cooling fan type.

Part Inspection


Type A

1.  Verify that the battery is fully charged. (See BATTERY INSPECTION [MZR 1.8, MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5].)

2.  Disconnect the cooling fan motor connector (2 terminals).

3.  Install a tester and battery to the cooling fan motor connector (2 terminals) as shown in the figure.

4.  Verify that each cooling fan motors operate smoothly at the standard current.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the applicable part.
Cooling fan motor No.1, No.2 standard current [Type A]
4.7—8.7 A [12 V]


Type B

1.  Verify that the battery is fully charged. (See BATTERY INSPECTION [MZR 1.8, MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5].)

2.  Disconnect the cooling fan motor connector (4 terminals).

3.  Install a tester and battery to the cooling fan motor connector (4 terminals) as shown in the figure.

4.  Verify that each cooling fan motors operate smoothly at the standard current.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the applicable part.
Cooling fan motor No.1, No.2 standard current [Type B]
High: 9.4 A [12 V]
Low: 7.6 A [12 V]

Type C

3.  Install a tester and battery to the cooling fan motor connector (2 terminals) as shown in the figure.

4.  Verify that each cooling fan motors operate smoothly at the standard current.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the applicable part.
Cooling fan motor No.1, No.2 standard current [Type C]
No.1: 3.7—6.7 A [12 V]
No.2: 6.1—9.1 A [12 V]


Type D

1.  Verify that the battery is fully charged. (See BATTERY INSPECTION [MZR 1.8, MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5].)

2.  Disconnect the cooling fan motor connector (4 terminals).

3.  Install a tester and battery to the cooling fan motor connector (4 terminals) as shown in the figure.

4.  Verify that each cooling fan motors operate smoothly at the standard current.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the applicable part.

High: 7.7—10.7 A [12 V]
Middle: 6.2—9.2 A [12 V]
