Warning
-
• If the DSC sensor initialization is not completed, the Hill Launch Assist (HLA) will not operate properly and could cause an accident. Therefore, after replacing or removing the DSC HU/CM or SAS control module, make sure to perform the DSC sensor initialization to assure proper Hill Launch Assist (HLA) operation.
• If the DSC sensor initialization is not completed properly, it could result in an unexpected accident. Therefore, when performing the Hill Launch Assist (HLA) operation inspection, make sure that the area around the vehicle is free of other vehicles.
1. Inspect the wheel alignment and the tire pressure.
-
• If there is any malfunction, adjust the applicable part.
2. Position the vehicle on level ground.
3. Switch the ignition to off.
4. Connect the M-MDS (IDS) to DLC-2.
5. After the vehicle is identified, select the following items from the initial screen of the IDS.

Note
-
• The gradient at which the Hill Launch Assist (HLA) operates differs slightly depending on load conditions and vehicle conditions such as tire wear and air pressure.
