OIL PRESSURE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FS5A-EL]

Warning

•  A hot transaxle and ATF can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool.

Caution

•  Water or foreign objects entering the connector can cause a poor connection or corrosion. Be sure not to drop water or foreign objects on the connector when disconnecting it.

1.  Perform the following procedures.

(1)  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

(2)  Remove the aerodynamic under cover NO.2. (See AERODYNAMIC UNDER COVER NO.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.

(4)  Remove the oil pressure switch.

(5)  Remove the packing from the oil pressure switch.

2.  Install the oil pressure switch.

(1)  Install a new packing and oil pressure switch.

Tightening torque

18—22 N·m {1.9—2.2 kgf·m, 14—16 ft·lbf}

(2)  Connect the oil pressure switch connector.

(3)  Install the aerodynamic under cover NO.2. (See AERODYNAMIC UNDER COVER NO.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Connect the negative battery cable.
