Bluetooth audio system

― Music or audio recorded on a Bluetooth-enabled device can be sent to the Bluetooth unit via radio waves and played using the vehicle’s audio unit. In addition, Bluetooth-enabled devices can be operated using the vehicle’s audio panel. The functions vary depending on the corresponding profile.
Hands-free telephone (HF/TEL) system

― Calls and mobile phone operation can be made without operating the Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone directly. The functions vary depending on the corresponding profile.
Bluetooth Audio System Operation
• Transmission between a Bluetooth-enabled device and the Bluetooth unit is performed via radio waves, while transmission between the Bluetooth unit, the information display and the vehicle’s audio is performed via the CAN system.
Without Bose®
• The Bluetooth unit sends the information from the Bluetooth-enabled device to the information display and vehicle’s audio unit. Then, the vehicle’s audio unit outputs the audio data to the speakers and the information display shows the information.
• When the vehicle’s audio panel is operated, its operation information is sent to the Bluetooth unit by the vehicle’s audio unit. The Bluetooth unit sends the operation information to the Bluetooth-enabled device.
With Bose®
• The Bluetooth unit sends the information from the Bluetooth-enabled device to the information display and vehicle’s audio unit. The vehicle’s audio unit outputs audio data via the audio amplifier to the speaker, and the information display shows the information.
• When the vehicle’s audio panel is operated, its operation information is sent to the Bluetooth unit by the vehicle’s audio unit. The Bluetooth unit sends the operation information to the Bluetooth-enabled device.
Hands-free Telephone (HF/TEL) System Operation
• The Bluetooth unit sends the information from the Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone to the information display and the vehicle’s audio unit. Then, the vehicle’s audio unit outputs the audio data to the speakers and the information display shows the information.
• The operation for answering an incoming call/making an outgoing call can be performed using the steering switches. When a steering switch is operated, its operation information is sent to the Bluetooth unit via the vehicle's audio unit, then to the Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone.
• Voice from a phone receiver is output from the front door speaker. Voice spoken into the vehicle’s microphone is sent to the Bluetooth-enabled device by the Bluetooth unit.
