COOLANT CONTROL VALVE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Disconnect the coolant control valve connector. (See COOLANT CONTROL VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].)

3.  Inspect for continuity between coolant control valve terminals A—B.

•  If there is continuity, the coolant control valve is normal.

•  If there is no continuity, replace the coolant control valve. (See COOLANT CONTROL VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].)
