COOLING FAN MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)]

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].)
3. Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].)
4. Remove the air cleaner component. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].)
5. Remove the coolant reserve tank. (See COOLANT RESERVE TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].)
6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
8. Refill the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].)
9. Inspect for engine coolant leakage. (See ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].)

1. Remove the bracket shown in the figure from the throttle body and set the upper radiator hose aside.

1. Disconnect the connectors from the cooling fan motors.
2. Remove the wiring harness clips shown in the figure.

3. Remove the cooling fan component from above the engine compartment.
