EXHAUST SHUTTER VALVE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)]

Resistance inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Lift up the vehicle.

3.  Disconnect the exhaust shutter valve connector. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].)

4.  Inspect the resistance between exhaust shutter valve terminals A and B.

Exhaust shutter valve resistance (specification)
0.3—100 ohms [20 °C {68 °F}]
•  If not within the specification, replace the TWC. (See EXHAUST SHUTTER VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].)
