EVAPORATIVE CHAMBER INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)]

1.  Remove the evaporative chamber. (See EVAPORATIVE CHAMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].)

2.  Blow air flow port A and verify that there is air flow.

•  If there is no air flow, replace the evaporative chamber. (See EVAPORATIVE CHAMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].)

3.  Verify that there is no deformation or cracking of the evaporative chamber.

•  If the exterior is no normal, replace the evaporative chamber. (See EVAPORATIVE CHAMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)].)
