Purpose, Function
• Alerts the driver of regulatory requirements (travel limit, warning indication) for vehicles equipped with the SCR system.
• Alerts the driver of the SCR system warnings. (Indicator/information display)
• Alerts the driver of the remaining distance to empty restricted by the SCR system condition/travel distance until the vehicle speed is restricted.
• Indicates the remaining Diesel Exhaust Fuel (DEF) amount (%) and remaining distance to empty.
• Indicates the warning to alert the driver if Diesel Exhaust Fuel (DEF) is excessively added.
Construction
• The SCR system warning indication is displayed in the multi-information display
• The SCR system warning light is built into the instrument cluster.
Operation
• An SCR system error detected by the PCM/dosing control unit is displayed on the instrument cluster.
• Starts the warning to alert the driver when the remaining distance to empty reaches 600 miles.
• Starts the warning to alert the driver when the DEF quality sensor detects that fluid in the tank is other than normal Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF).
• Starts the warning to alert the driver when there is a malfunction in the SCR system (such as Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) cannot be injected).
• Stops indicating the warning when any of the following conditions is met.

― Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) amount is sufficiently added
― Fluid in tank is normal Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF)
― Malfunction is corrected
• When the SCR system is normal, the remaining Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) amount (%) and remaining distance to empty can always be verified by switching the indication.
• When Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) of the specification or more is added, the excessive Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) replenishment warning is indicated.
