CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT

id074000004100

Purpose

•  The climate control unit performs air conditioning according to the operation by the users and the driving conditions of the vehicle.

Functions

•  The climate control unit determines optimum air-conditioning based on the input signals from each sensor and the control module and the operation signals from the control panel, and controls each actuator, A/C compressor, and the blower motor. (See FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM.)

Set temperature display switching function

•  When the ambient temperature display in the instrument cluster is switched between Centigrade and Fahrenheit, the set temperature display in the climate control unit is switched between Centigrade and Fahrenheit. (See ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM [WITH CENTER DISPLAY].) (With center display) (See INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO. PERSONALIZATION.) (Without center display)

Automatic configuration function

•  When the ignition is switched ON after the climate control unit is replaced, the climate control unit reads the vehicle specification information sent via CAN transmission from the instrument cluster using the automatic configuration function, and stores it.

Dual mode

•  When the SYNC mode is on, the passenger temperature setting operates in conjunction with the driver temperature setting. (SYNC switch indicator turns on)
•  When the climate control unit SYNC switch is pressed or the temperature control dial (passenger's side) is operated while the SYNC mode is on, the SYNC mode turns off. (SYNC switch indicator turns off)
•  When the SYNC mode turns off, the driver and passenger-side temperature settings can be performed independently by operating the temperature setting dials (LH)/(RH). In addition, the temperature setting display in the display panel is displayed independently according to each setting temperature for the driver and passenger sides.

Structure/Construction

•  A logic-type climate control unit has been adopted.
•  The climate control unit consists of a control panel, display panel, and a control unit.
•  The switches and dials shown in the figure are positioned on the control panel.
•  The air conditioner setting is displayed in the display panel.
