•  Start stop unit detects that the remote transmitter has not been programmed.

•  Remote transmitter malfunction
―  The remote transmitter is not programmed after replacing the start stop unit.
―  Unprogrammed remote transmitter was used.
•  Start stop unit malfunction

VERIFY IF REMOTE TRANSMITTER BROUGHT INTO VEHICLE IS FOR THAT VEHICLE
•  Does the remote transmitter belong to another vehicle?
Yes
Have the correct transmitter for the vehicle ready inside the vehicle, then go to Step 3.
No
Go to the next step.

PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND DETERMINE WHICH KEY HAS MALFUNCTION
•  Perform the following work for each of the programmed remote transmitters:
―  Clear the DTC for the immobilizer system using the M-MDS.
―  Retrieve the immobilizer system DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the security indicator light: 15, the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Replace the malfunctioning remote transmitter, then go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 4.

VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
•  Clear the DTC for the immobilizer system using the M-MDS.
•  Retrieve the immobilizer system DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the security indicator light: 15, the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
•  If the malfunction recurs, replace the start stop unit.
Go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
•  Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
