LUMBAR SUPPORT MOTOR INSPECTION

•  Handling a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. L.H.D.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more.(See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Slide hooks A in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3) shown in the figure and disconnect them from hooks B.

3.  Open fasteners.

4.  Disconnect the lumber support motor connector.

Apply battery positive voltage to the lumber support motor terminals and inspect the front seat operation.

•  If not as specified, replace the lumbar support unit. (See LUMBAR SUPPORT UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Slide hooks A in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3) shown in the figure and disconnect them from hooks B.

4.  Disconnect the lumber support motor connector.

Apply battery positive voltage to the lumber support motor terminals and inspect the front seat operation.
