COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

L.H.D.

1.  Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Remove fasteners A shown in the figure.

3.  Remove fasteners B shown in the figure.

4.  Disconnect the joint pipe of the windshield washer hose. (See WINDSHIELD WASHER HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Pull the cowl grille in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) and remove it while detaching the tabs.

6.  When removing the side cowl grille, perform the following procedure:

(1)  Press the tabs in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the tabs from the dashboard upper panel.

(2)  Pull the side cowl grill in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clip from the dashboard upper panel.

(3)  Pull the side cowl grille in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure while pulling the tab in the direction of arrow (1), and remove the side cowl grille while pulling out the boss.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

R.H.D.

1.  Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Remove fasteners A shown in the figure.

3.  Remove fasteners B shown in the figure.

4.  Disconnect the joint pipe of the windshield washer hose. (See WINDSHIELD WASHER HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Pull the cowl grille in the direction of the arrow in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) and remove it while detaching the tabs.

6.  When remove the side cowl grille, perform the following procedure:

(1)  Press the tabs in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the tabs from the dashboard upper panel.

(2)  Pull the side cowl grill in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clip from the dashboard upper panel.

(3)  Pull the side cowl grille in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure while pulling the tab in the direction of arrow (1), and remove the side cowl grille while pulling out the boss.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
