CARGO COMPARTMENT LIGHT

Purpose
• The cargo compartment light illuminates the cargo room interior when the liftgate is opened.
Function
• The cargo compartment light turns on when the cargo compartment light switch is turned on while a liftgate latch switch on signal is detected by the rear body control module (RBCM).
Structure/Construction
• A bulb type or LED type is available for the cargo compartment light.
• The cargo compartment light is positioned on the liftgate lower trim.
Operation
1. When the liftgate is opened, the liftgate latch switch is on and the rear body control module (RBCM) detects (1) a liftgate latch switch on signal.
2. When the cargo compartment light switch is turned on (2) with a liftgate latch switch on signal detected by the rear body control module (RBCM), the cargo compartment light turns on (3).
