Purpose

• The windshield wiper motor transmits rotation force to the windshield wiper link to operate the windshield wiper arms and blades.

Function

• The windshield wiper motor operates using the current from the front body control module (FBCM) which is input according to the wiper and washer switch operation, and generates rotation force for the low/high 2 system.

Structure/Construction

• The windshield wiper motor consists of the motor, windshield wiper link No.1, and the windshield wiper link No.2.

Operation

1. The windshield wiper motor rotates (1) using the current input from the front body control module (FBCM) according to the windshield wiper switch operation.

2. When the motor rotates, rotation force is transmitted to the windshield wiper link and converted (2) to the reciprocating movement of the windshield wiper link.

3. The windshield wiper arms and blades are driven (3) in tandem with the reciprocating movement of the windshield wiper link.

4. When the windshield wiper arms and blades are operated to the park position, the auto-stop switch turns on (4) and the windshield wiper arms and blades stop (5).
