Installation Procedure

Caution

•  The continuous arc welding locations show the largest work range when installing.

1.  After temporarily installing the new and existing parts, measure the dimensions of each part following the body dimensions and align with the basic dimension.

2.  After temporarily installing the new parts, make sure the related parts fit properly.

1.  Rough cut the new part in area A shown in the figure.

Note

•  Install the part removed from the new part to the existing part.

2.  Cut and join the location in area B shown in the figure.

3.  Plug welds in the 3 locations in area C shown in the figure and install the front side frame (outer).

4.  Rough cut the new part in area D shown in the figure.

•  Install the part removed from the new part to the existing part.

5.  Using a reinforcement, spot welds in the 2 locations in area E shown in the figure to the remaining front side frame (inner) (new part).

6.  Cut and join the part to area F shown in the figure.

7.  Plug welds in the 12 locations in area G shown in the figure and install the front side frame (inner).

1.  Rough cut the new part in area A shown in the figure.

•  Install the part removed from the new part to the existing part.

2.  Drill the spot welds in the 4 locations in area B shown in the figure.

Note

•  When drilling the spot welds in the 4 locations in area B shown in the figure, do not drill through-holes in consideration of the workability when installing.

3.  Remove the front side frame (inner) (new part) and the front side frame inner reinforcement (new part) at the same time as shown in the figure.

4.  Cut and join the parts in area C shown in the figure.

5.  Plug welds in the 4 locations area D shown in the figure and install the front side frame (inner) and the front side frame inner reinforcement.

6.  Rough cut the new parts in area E shown in the figure.

•  Install the part removed from the new part to the existing part.

7.  Drill the spot welds in the 3 locations in area F shown in the figure.

Note

•  When drilling the spot welds in the 3 locations in area F shown in the figure, do not drill through-holes in consideration of the workability when installing.

8.  Remove the front side frame (outer) (new part) and the front side frame outer reinforcement (new part) at the same time as shown in the figure.

9.  Cut and join the parts in area G shown in the figure.

10.  Plug welds in the 9 locations in area H shown in the figure and install the front side frame (outer) and front side frame outer reinforcement.
