Installation Procedure

1.  When installing new parts, measure and adjust the body as necessary to conform with standard dimensions.

2.  Before installing the new part, drill holes for plug welding in 6 locations in area A, 4 locations in area C, 3 locations in area E, and 7 locations in area F.

Note

•  If the bumper reinforcements and suspension mounting brackets, and the outer frame reinforcements are removed at the same time, the removal procedure from area C to E shown in the figure is unnecessary. In addition, do not drill holes for plug welding.

3.  After temporarily installing new parts, make sure the related parts fit properly.

4.  Continuous arc weld the 8 locations in area A shown in the figure.

Note

•  Secure the flange area using a hand vise so as not to open a gap in the welded area, and perform the welding work with the weld area clamped.

5.  Plug welds in the 2 locations in area B shown in the figure.

6.  Plug welds in the 4 locations in area C shown in the figure.

7.  Continuous arc weld the location in area D shown in the figure from the front side frame inner side.

8.  Plug welds in the 3 locations in area E shown in the figure and install the bumper bracket.

9.  Plug welds in the 7 locations in area F shown in the figure.

10.  Arc-spot weld the 1 location in area G shown in the figure from the front side frame outer side and install the bumper bracket component.
