Purpose
HBC warning light (amber)/HBC warning indication

• The HBC warning light (amber)/HBC warning indication warns the driver that a malfunction is occurring in the High Beam Control (HBC) system.
HBC indicator light (green)
-
• The HBC indicator light (green) notifies the driver that the High Beam Control (HBC) system is operating.
Function
HBC warning light (amber)/HBC warning indication

• The instrument cluster turns the HBC warning light (amber)/HBC warning indication on based on the system malfunction display request signal sent via a CAN signal from the forward sensing camera (FSC).
HBC indicator light (green)

• The instrument cluster turns the HBC indicator light (green) on based on the system conditions display request signal sent via a CAN signal from the forward sensing camera (FSC).
Structure/Construction
• The HBC warning light (amber) and HBC indicator light (green) are built into the instrument cluster.
• The HBC warning indication is displayed in the multi-information display. (With multi-information display)
• For vehicles with the center display, a warning message in the center display is displayed when the HBC warning light (amber)/HBC warning indication is turned on. For the message content and verification method, refer to [CENTER DISPLAY]. (See

Operation
HBC warning light (amber)
-
1. The instrument cluster receives (1) the system malfunction display request signal from the forward sensing camera (FSC) via CAN communication.
2. The instrument cluster turns the transistor on (2) based on the system malfunction display request signal.
3. When the transistor is turned on, the HBC warning indicator light (amber) turns on (3).
HBC warning indication (with multi-information display)

1. The instrument cluster receives (1) the system malfunction display request signal from the forward sensing camera (FSC) via CAN communication.
2. The instrument cluster displays (2) an HBC warning indication in the multi-information display based on the system malfunction display request signal.
HBC indicator light (green)

1. When the high beam control (HBC) system operates, the forward sensing camera (FSC) sends (1) a system conditions display request signal to the instrument cluster via CAN communication.
2. The instrument cluster turns the transistor on (2) based on the system conditions display request signal.
3. When the transistor turns on, a ground circuit with the HBC indicator light (green) is established, and the HBC indicator light (green) turns on (3).
