COOLING FAN MOTOR INSPECTION [L8, LF, L3]

• There are three types of cooling fan components, A, B, and C. Types A, B, and C can be identified from the number of blades on the cooling fans No. 1 and No. 2. Refer to the following table to identify the cooling fan type.

1. Verify that the battery is fully charged. (See BATTERY INSPECTION [L8, LF, L3, L3 Turbo].)

2. Disconnect the cooling fan motor connector.

3. Install a tester and battery to the cooling fan motor connector as shown in the figure.

4. Verify that fan motor operates smoothly at the standard current.

• If not within the specification, replace the fan motor.
