PROPELLER SHAFT INSPECTION [A26MX-R]

1. Disassemble the propeller shaft.

2. Measure the propeller shaft center runout using the dial gauge.

• If it exceeds the maximum specification, replace the propeller shaft as a single component.

0.3 mm {0.012 in}

3. Inspect the play and rotation of the joint by turning the universal joint in the directions shown by the arrows.

• If it is not within the specification, replace the rear propeller shaft.

• If it is not within the specification, adjust by choosing the proper snap ring.

Rear Differential side: 0.29-0.98 N·m {3.0-9.9 kgf·cm, 2.6-8.6 in·lbf}

Others: 0.29-1.18 N·m {3.0-12.0 kgf·cm, 2.6-10.4 in·lbf}
