NO.25 ENGINE STALLS WHEN DRIVING AT SLOW SPEEDS OR STOPPING [FS5A-EL]


25	Engine stalls when driving at slow speeds or stopping
DESCRIPTION	• Engine stalls when the brake pedal is depressed while driving at low speed or stopping.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	• Malfunction is in engine control system (e.g. Fuel injection control, electronic throttle control system). Otherwise, the malfunction is in the control valve body, shift solenoid E or TCC.


STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	Go to symptom troubleshooting No.10 "LOW IDLE/STALLS DURING DECELERATION". (See NO.10 LOW IDLE/STALLS DURING DECELERATION [L8, LF, L3].) (See PCM INSPECTION [L8, LF, L3].) Is the engine control system normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Repair or replace any malfunctioning parts according to the inspection results.
2	Go to symptom troubleshooting No.5 "ENGINE STALLS-AFTER START/AT IDLE" (See NO.5 ENGINE STALLS-AFTER START/AT IDLE [L8, LF, L3].) (See PCM INSPECTION [L8, LF, L3].) Is the engine control system normal?	Yes	Repeat the basic inspection and repair or replace any malfunctioning parts according to the inspection result. (See BASIC INSPECTION [FS5A-EL].)
2		No	Repair or replace any malfunctioning parts according to the inspection results.
3	• Verify the test results. - If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms. - If the malfunction remains, inspect the related Service information and perform repair or diagnosis. • If the vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting is completed. • If the vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace the TCM.
