• Cassette tape player is malfunctioning.

• Replace with the cassette tape known to be good.
• Is the sound normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the cassette tape player.

• Fast-forward and rewind the original tape.
• Is the sound normal?
Yes
The cassette tape player is normal.

• If fast-forward/rewind the tape for a short period repeatedly, the tape playing speed may be temporarily changed.

No
The cassette tape player is normal. Explain to the customer that the cassette tape is malfunctioning.
