Diagnostic procedure

STEP

INSPECTION

ACTION

1
RETRIEVE DTC FOR HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM
• Connect the WDS or equivalent to DLC-2.
• Tern the ignition switch to ON position (engine off).
• Retrieve the DTCs for headlight auto leveling system.
• Is there any DTC displayed?
Yes
Perform the appropriate DTC troubleshooting procedure.
No
Go to the next step.
2
INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION IS IN AUTO LEVELING SENSOR OR ELSEWHERE
• Is the malfunction appears both side?
Yes
Go to Step 8.
No
If headlight auto leveling (RH) function does not operate, go to the next step.
If headlight auto leveling (LH) function does not operate, go to Step 6.
3
INSPECT COMBINATION LIGHT (RH) CONNECTOR FOR POOR CONNECTION
• Inspect for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled-out pins, and corrosion) at connection between front combination light (RH) and auto leveling control module (sub).
• Is the connection normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace malfunctioning part.
