SUNROOF UNIT CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION
id091500100600
• Consists of the sunroof motor, glass panel, guides, drive cables, and drive gears.
• Each operation can be performed by sliding the guides fixed to the glass panel using the drive cables.
• The drive cables are engaged with the drive gears, which are interlocked with the sunroof motor, so that the drive cables move when the sunroof motor rotates.
• The sunroof motor consists of the three-phase cam and three limit switches.

Slide Open Operation
• The drive cable attachment areas slide rearward along the guide grooves when the sunroof motor performs the slide open operation. Under this condition, the guides continue sliding rearward and the glass panel performs the slide open operation.
• When the sunroof motor performs the slide open operation with the glass panel fully closed, the cam rotates clockwise. The sunroof motor stops the slide open operation (mechanical stop) when the glass panel is fully opened.

Slide Close Operation
• When the sunroof motor performs the slide close operation, the drive cable attachment areas slide forward along the guide grooves and the glass panel is fully closed.
• When the sunroof motor performs the slide close operation with the glass panel fully opened, the cam rotates counterclockwise and the glass panel fully closes if the slide switch (close side) is pressed and held.
• When the glass panel is fully closed, limit switch No.1 is on and the sunroof motor stops the slide close operation.

Tilt Up Operation
• Because the drive cable attachment areas slide forward along the guide grooves when the sunroof motor performs the tilt up operation, the guides move upward and the glass panel performs the tilt up operation.
• When the sunroof motor performs the tilt up operation with the glass panel fully closed, the cam rotates counterclockwise. When the glass panel is tilted up, the sunroof motor stops the tilt up operation (mechanical stop).

Tilt Down Operation
• When the sunroof motor performs the tilt down operation, the drive cable attachment areas slide rearward along the guide grooves and the glass panel is fully closed.
• With the glass panel tilted up, the cam rotates clockwise when the sunroof motor performs tilted down. When the glass panel is tilted down, limit switch No. 1 is on and the sunroof motor stops the tilt down operation.
