1. Connect the WDS or equivalent to the vehicle DLC-2 16-pin connector location as shown in the figure.
2. Turn the ignition switch from off to on.
3. Record any DTCs, if retrieved.
4. Erase all diagnostic data using the WDS or equivalent.
