• When the customer reports a vehicle malfunction, check the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL), AT warning light illuminating, and TCM memory for diagnostic trouble code (DTC), then diagnose the malfunction according to following flowchart.

- If a DTC exists, diagnose the applicable DTC. (See DTC TABLE (GENERAL (L.H.D.) SPECS. SPORT AT) [FN4A-EL].)

- If a DTC does not exist, and the MIL and AT warning lights do not illuminate, diagnose the applicable symptom troubleshooting. (See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING ITEM TABLE (GENERAL (L.H.D.) SPECS. SPORT AT) [FN4A-EL].)
