Purpose/Function
• Detects the engine oil pressure as basic information for mainly intake stroke EGR using double exhaust valve actuation system (IDEVA) control and idle speed control.
• Detects the engine oil pressure and inputs it to the PCM as an engine oil pressure signal.
Construction
• Built into the engine oil temperature sensor/engine oil pressure sensor.
• A semiconductor strain gauge has been adopted to the engine oil pressure sensor as the detecting element for detecting the engine oil pressure.
Operation
• Inputs the signal, which fluctuates according to the engine oil pressure, to the PCM.
