1. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
2. Open the driver's door.
3. Switch the ignition off.
4. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) 5. Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL.) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE INSTALLATION.)
6. Remove the steering switch. (See STEERING SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
7. Remove the steering wheel bezel. (See STEERING WHEEL BEZEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
8. Remove the steering wheel. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
9. Remove the steering shift switch. (With steering shift switch) (See STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FW6A-EL].) (See STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [GW6A-EL, GW6AX-EL].)
10. Remove the screw. (Without steering shift switch)

11. While pinching tabs A, pull the steering wheel cover in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach tabs A and B.

12. Remove the steering wheel cover from the steering wheel.

13. Install in the reverse order of removal.
