REAR SUNSHADE SYSTEM

Outline

•  When direct sunlight is exposed from the rear window glass, the rear sunshade system can block direct sunlight by remote operation from the driver's seat to raise the shade located on the rear package tray.

Functions

•  When the rear sunshade switch located on the cluster switch is operated, the shade rises/lowers electrically.

Shade position detection function

•  The rear sunshade control module detects shade rising or lowering by detecting the position switch on/off. For the raise or lower operation, refer to the [REAR SUNSHADE]. (See REAR SUNSHADE.)

Position switch condition

Shade condition

ON (contact point: closed)
Lowered
OFF (contact point: open)
Risen

R position interlock function

•  When the rear sunshade control module receives an R position signal with the shade risen, it lowers the shade.

Pinch stop function

•  When the motor voltage is the specified value or more while the shade is rising or lowering, the rear sunshade control module detects that an object obstructs, and stops the motor drive.

Operation

1.  When the rear sunshade switch turns on (1) while the IG1 relay is on, the rear sunshade control module detects (2) a rear sunshade switch ON signal.

2.  When the rear sunshade control module detects the rear sunshade switch ON signal, it flows (3) current to the motor to drive the motor and raise/lower (3) the shade. In addition, the position switch turns on/off (4) in conjunction with the shade rising/lowering.

3.  When the rear sunshade control module receives (5) an R position signal from the rear body control module (RBCM), it flows (6) current to the motor to drive the motor and lower the shade. (when shade rises)
