REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH INSPECTION

Note

•  The rear sunshade switch is integrated with the cluster switch.

Switch inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)(See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

2.  Remove the cluster switch. (See CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Verify that the resistance between rear sunshade switches A and H is as indicated in the table.

Without parking sensor

•  If the resistance cannot be verified as indicated in the table, replace the cluster switch. (See CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

LED illumination inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)(See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

2.  Remove the cluster switch. (See CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Apply battery positive voltage to rear sunshade switch terminal J, and connect terminal I to ground.

4.  Verify that the LED illuminates.

•  If the resistance cannot be verified as indicated in the table, replace the cluster switch. (See CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
