1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].)

2. Remove the following parts:

(1) Front scuff plate (LH) (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2) Front side trim (LH) (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3) Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4) B-pillar lower trim (LH) (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5) Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6) Rear seat side back (See REAR SEAT SIDE BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7) Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(8) Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(9) Trunk side pocket (See TRUNK SIDE POCKET REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(10) Trunk side trim (LH) (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(11) Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(12) Fuel-filler lid opener (See FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER AND LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(13) Fuel-filler lid opener lever (See FUEL-FILLER LID OPENER AND LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Remove the fuel-filler lid opener cable from clips A and B.

4. Remove the fuel-filler lid opener cable from clips C, D, and E.

5. Remove the fuel-filler lid opener cable from clips F and G.

6. Pull the fuel-filler lid opener cable from the crossmember.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

3. Remove the fuel-filler lid opener cable from clips A, B, and C.

5. Remove the fuel-filler lid opener cable from clips G and H.

6. Pull the fuel-filler lid opener cable from the crossmember.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
