Rocker Arm (No.1)

1.  Rotate the roller of the rocker arm (No.1) by hand and verify that rotates smoothly.

•  If it does not rotate smoothly, replace the rocker arm (No.1).

2.  Visually inspect the rocker arm (No.1) surface where it contacts the HLA and valve stem for wear or damage.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the rocker arm (No.1).

Rocker Arm (No.2) [Only vehicles with IDEVA]

1.  Rotate the roller of the rocker arm (No.2) by hand and verify that rotates smoothly.

•  If it does not rotate smoothly, replace the rocker arm (No.2).

2.  Visually inspect the rocker arm (No.2) surface where it contacts the HLA and valve stem for wear or damage.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the rocker arm (No.2).

3.  Visually inspect the slipper area of the rocker arm (No.2) for wear or damage.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the rocker arm (No.2).

4.  Press the inner lever of the rocker arm (No.2) with a finger to verify that it moves.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the rocker arm (No.2).
