OIL SEAL (DIFFERENTIAL) REPLACEMENT [D66M-R]

Caution
•  The sharp edges of the drive shaft can slice or puncture the oil seal. Be careful when installing the drive shaft to the transaxle.

1.  Remove the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Drain the manual transaxle oil. (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL REPLACEMENT [D66M-R].)

3.  Disconnect the drive shaft (LH) from the MTX. (See FRONT DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disconnect the drive shaft (RH) from the MTX. (See FRONT DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Remove the oil seal (LH).

6.  Remove the oil seal (RH).

7.  Using the SSTs and a hammer, install a new oil seal (LH).

A: 0.3 mm {0.01 in}
B: 0.3 mm {0.01 in}

8.  Using the SSTs and a hammer, install a new oil seal (RH).

A: 0.3 mm {0.01 in}
B: 0.3 mm {0.01 in}

9.  Coat the lip of each oil seal with transaxle oil.

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

11.  Add the specified amount of specified transaxle oil. (See MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL REPLACEMENT [D66M-R].)
