FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution

•  Affix the protective tape to the position (vehicle body side) shown in the figure to prevent scratches and damage.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) 2.  Remove screws A.

3.  Remove fasteners B.

4.  Slightly bend back the mudguard and remove screw C shown in the figure.

5.  Remove screws D.

6.  Remove fasteners E.

7.  Slightly bend back front undercover No.1 and remove fasteners F shown in the figure.

8.  Remove the fresh-air duct. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

9.  Remove the set plate. (See SET PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

10.  Remove screws G.

11.  Remove fasteners H.

12.  Grasp the front bumper end, move it in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, and remove the front bumper from the grommet.

13.  Pull the front bumper end in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure and detach the front bumper from the front bumper slider while removing tabs I.

Caution

•  The front bumper and front bumper slider are engaged firmly. If they are disengaged forcibly the bumper could fall and be damaged. Perform the servicing carefully when disengaging the front bumper from the front bumper slider.

•  When disengaging the front bumper from the front bumper slider, the front bumper could fall and be damaged. Support the front bumper so that it does not fall.

14.  Pull the front bumper in the direction of the arrow (3) shown in the figure and remove it while detaching guides J.

15.  Disconnect the front fog light connector. (with front fog lights)

16.  Disconnect the front ultrasonic sensor connector. (with parking sensor system)

17.  Disconnect the front headlight cleaner hose (with headlight cleaner system)

18.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

19.  Adjust the front fog light aiming. (with front fog lights) (See FRONT FOG LIGHT AIMING.)
