POWER OUTER MIRROR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See \nNEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See \nNEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].) (See \nNEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

2.  Remove the inner garnish. (See \nINNER GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the front door trim. (See \nFRONT DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the service hole and remove hooks A in the direction of arrow (1).

5.  Slide the service hole cover in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure and remove tabs B.

6.  Disconnect the connector.

7.  Remove nuts B or bolts B.

•  There are two types, a nut installation type and a bolt installation type, depending on the vehicle's period of manufacture.

8.  Pull the power outer mirror in the direction of the arrow while remove clips C, pins D.

Caution
•  If the clip D of the power outer mirror is detached, the power outer mirror may fall off and be damaged. When detaching clip D of the power outer mirror, hold the power outer mirror by hand during the servicing.

9.  Remove the power outer mirror.

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Power Outer Mirror Installation Note.)


Power Outer Mirror Installation Note

1.  If a wiring harness is mistakenly routed when installing a power outer mirror, it will interfere with the front door glass when opening/closing the front door glass, and could result in an open circuit. When routing the wiring harness, route it behind the glass guide.
