Purpose, Function
• The glow plug raises the compression temperature by preheating the inside of the combustion chamber.
Construction
• The glow plugs are installed to the cylinder heads.
• Quick warming-type ceramic glow plugs have been adopted which reduce the time required to start the engine by quickly increasing the temperature.w
Operation
• The glow plugs generate heat by the power supplied from the glow control module.
