Purpose/Function

•  Detects the intake shutter valve open/closed condition as basic information for mainly EGR control and intake shutter valve control.
•  Detects the intake shutter valve opening/closing condition and inputs it to the PCM as the intake shutter valve opening angle signal.

Construction

•  Built into the intake shutter valve.

•  A hall element has been adopted as the detecting element for detecting the intake shutter valve opening/closing condition.

Operation

•  Inputs the signal, which fluctuates according to the intake shutter valve opening/closing, to the PCM.
