HEATER HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

L.H.D.

SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5

1.  Remove the battery. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

2.  Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

3.  Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

4.  Remove the nuts.

5.  Remove the insulator.

6.  Remove the clips.

7.  Remove the heater hose.

8.  Install in the reverse order of the removal.

9.  Inspect for engine coolant leakage. (See ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

SKYACTIV-D 2.2

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

2.  Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

3.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

4.  Remove the clips.

5.  Remove the heater hose.

6.  Install in the reverse order of the removal.

7.  Inspect for engine coolant leakage. (See ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

R.H.D.

SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5

1.  Remove the battery. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

2.  Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

3.  Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

4.  Remove the clips.

5.  Remove the heater hose.

6.  Install in the reverse order of the removal.

7.  Inspect for engine coolant leakage. (See ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)

SKYACTIV-D 2.2

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

2.  Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

3.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

4.  Remove the nut from underside of vehicle.

5.  Remove the nut from top side of vehicle.

6.  Remove the insulator as shown in the figure.

7.  Disconnect the connector.

8.  Remove the fastener.

9.  Remove the bolts.

10.  Set the PCM out of the way.

11.  Remove the nut.

12.  Remove the nut.

13.  Remove the bolt.

14.  Remove the bracket.

15.  Remove the fastener.

16.  Set the cooler hose (LO) out of the way.

Caution

•  When setting the cooler hose (LO), only bend the flexible hose part. If force is applied to areas other than the flexible hose, the pipe will bend and could be damaged.

17.  Remove the clips.

18.  Remove the heater hose.

19.  Install in the reverse order of the removal.

20.  Inspect for engine coolant leakage. (See ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)
